Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
Introduction
Best care with best technology and equipment
Tooth Transplantation
In case of early loss of a tooth, an impacted tooth in the oral cavity is autotransplanted in order for its original functions (chewing, articulating, aesthetics) can be recovered. This technology often involves transplanting a wisdom tooth (third molar) impacted in the bone onto the first molar (permanent tooth developed at age 6) or puts a canine tooth buried in the upper jaw in its place to transfer a small molar in the lower jaw to another place.
Tooth replantation
Replantation of a tooth that has fallen due to trauma: if replantation is performed within 2 hours, re-engraftment can be expected.
Jaw Deformities & Orthognathic Surgeries
Orthognathic surgery is normally performed in parallel with orthodontic treatment. In general, orthodontics of 6 months - 1 year precedes the surgery so as to secure the desired level of movement and minimize post-surgery transformation.
Temporo-Mandibular Disorders
It refers to a condition where a sound is heard from the temporo-mandibular joint with pain and it is difficult to consume hard foods, which could develop into inability to open the mouth or chew foods. With MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) in addition to clinical diagnosis, the shape and movement of the temporo-mandibular joint can be clearly observed. Also, a comprehensive analyzer is at our disposal to facilitate collective analysis of the electromyography and fatigue of muscles, classification of the joint noise, occlusion, etc. and suggest a treatment strategy.
Dental Implants
Implants into the bone in place of lost tooth instead of denture, “Synostotic dental implant” is implanted into the bone to replace a lost tooth instead of denture is beneficial in that it allows chewing any food as desired, is aesthetic, and removes the necessity for cutting the adjacent teeth to use as a pillar.
Cleft Lip and Palate
Treatment for cleft lip and palate is not as simple as just suturing the lip or palate. Consistent care is required as this condition is related to tooth management with growth, development of ulitis, closing the gap between the nose and mouth, jaw development control, psychiatric and psychological treatment, otolaryngologic care, rhinoplasty, speech correction, etc. in a complex manner.
Oral Cancer
Oral cancer accompanies ulcers in the gum, lips, palate, tongue, cheek, etc., causing pain when consuming foods. It is not healed even after 2 weeks. In the early stage of oral cancer, resection is considered first, followed by radiotherapy and anti-cancer chemotherapy. For surgical resection, recovery of functions for surviving should to be considered.
Salivary stone, Sialolithiasis
Diagnosis of and surgery for trigeminal neuropathy with pain in the lips and cheek
Collective management of maxillofacial trauma due to a car accident, etc.
Maxillary sinusitis (sinusitis) due to a tooth
Age estimation and physical examination, etc.
