Ewha Woman's University Cancer Center for Women, which has grown rapidly as a leading brand for women's cancer treatment in Korea since its establishment in March 2009, is leaping beyond being a top class hospital in Korea to become a global hospital that can be trusted and visited by foreign patients.
Ewha Woman's University Cancer Center for Women was established in February 2009 as the nation’s first general hospital dedicated to treatment of cancers of women. The hospital was established based on the experience and know-how in education, research and treatment and as the nation’s only hospital by a women’s university. The Clinic has led cancer treatment for women and has grown as a world-class hospital dedicated to cancer treatment for women.
The hospital consists of Breast and Thyroid Cancer Center, Gynecologic Cancer Center, Recurrent Gynecologic Cancer Center and Clinical Genetics Center. The hospital enables women to promptly and conveniently use the treatment services by making systematic cooperation with Women’s Health Promotion Center, attract excellent medical staff, introduce advanced medical devices, create the women-friendly treatment environment and provide the prompt one-stop treatment system.
Moreover, EUMC has been recognized as the best medical institution in the area of women's cancer as presented from the various quality assessments of external institutions, such as lately it acquired Grade 1 which is the highest grade in the area of breast cancer from the qualification assessment performed by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service, and received the Grand prize for the Best Brand Award as chosen by the women consumers for 9 consecutive years.
