As is well known, woman's breast cancer and thyroid cancer are not only rapidly increasing in our country, but even in their 20s and 30s, women are also becoming unable to be safe any more.
Recognizing such problems, Ewha Womans University Medical Center (EUMC) has opened the Breast Center for Women for the first time as a general hospital among them and quickly responded with the prevention and treatment of breast cancer. In March 2009, EUMC established the first center specialized in women's cancer among domestic university hospitals in Korea and established a breast and thyroid cancer center.
Considering that most abnormal findings commonly found in women are benign, EUMC has been trying to relieve the stress of waiting for the test results for patients who come to the hospital by providing prompt examination and quick diagnosis.
Based on its accumulated system, specialized physicians in the area of breast surgery, endocrine and thyroid surgery, head and neck surgery, and plastic surgery at the Breast and Thyroid Cancer Center of the Ewha Womans University Cancer Center for Women, offer the optimum treatment individually tailored for patients with the most updated medical devices and the state-of-art technology.
In addition, we provide radiotherapy to prevent any possible post-treatment metastasis or recurrence, as well as total care service with an emphasis on quality of life and pain of patients after treatment with measures such as breast reconstructive plastic surgery or special programs, anticipating it will bring customer satisfaction on the treatment results.
